LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Also known as King James he is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James was awarded two Olympic gold medals, as well as four NBA championships. James is one of the NBA All-Stars with the most playoff points, the second highest career point total and the 7th highest ever assist number. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, the most in history. James was also named for The NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. He's played in 10 NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between 2011, and 2018. James was selected for an appearance on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became the very first NBA player to score 10,000 career points. James was born in Akron Ohio, played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School. National media celebrated him as a future NBA superstar. He was a pro-prep and selected first from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year and quickly became one of the best league players, winning the NBA MVP award in 2010 and 2009. James, who failed to achieve the Cleveland championship 2010, resigned in the year 2010. He was an unrestricted free agent to join the Miami Heat. This was discovered as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial moves made by a player who is a free agent ever.
